“This Will Mark the End”

Our Generation Cannot Fail

The Theme is Prayer, the devotional life. It is God etching eternity in our eyes, it is the church being called to bend its knees, it is Christians returning to their secret places of prayer. The great truth is that we are spiritually sick because we do not branch, the great truth is that we are sick because we do not even know how to pray. We are forgetting fellowship with God!

“We have to learn to put on sackcloth and ashes. “

Do you want quick solutions? Only you can’t solve without a full prayer life, without shedding your tears on a bed. Because the great victories are fought in our bedroom, on our knees at the head of the bed. The great victories are fought at dawn with tears, weeping, groaning and fasting. We have not seen more men of God, of character and fiber! We have not seen more women of God, holy and powerful. We have not seen more intrepid and daring young men.

“The greatest Men of God who ever existed were those who had the greatest devotional lives. “

Jonathan Edwards, I believe every Christian knows the theology of Jonathan Edwards. A reformed Puritan, one of the most brilliant men of those who lived in the 18th century. The best known sermon in history after the canonical biblical sermons, was the sermon, “Sinners in the hands of an angry God. “When people heard this sermon by Jonathan Edwards, it was so powerful and profound that people were clinging to the pillars of the church, thinking that the floor would open up!

Why did it happen that day?

What happened is that before Jonathan preached that sermon, three nights and three days, Jonathan Edwards did not eat and did not sleep; he spent his days pleading with God saying: God, give me the souls of New England; and he stirred up the first great revival. he is the man who said the phrase, “God, nail eternity in my eyes.”

Jonathan Edwards was a Man of Prayer!

In this last church age, what is going to make a difference among Christians is going to be the men and women who have a greater devotional life, men and women who cultivate more the place of prayer. What is going to count is my daily tribute to God, how much I am spending in prayer daily, how much I am spending in worship daily, how much I am devoting myself daily.

“Do you want to know how effective you can be as a Christian? See how much you pray, see how much you devote yourself daily to God, what your daily tribute is. “

All the great men of God who have stepped on this soil were men of devotional life. Today we talk with Christians who don’t even mention a Bible verse in half an hour of conversation, Christians who don’t tell a single godly testimony, who don’t have a godly and holy characteristic.

Do you know why most of these Christians do not do this? Because they are not men of prayer.

How can modern Christians achieve sanctification without prayer? No one has ever been known to have victory over sin, no one has ever been known to be sanctified without prayer. Since we want to overcome the works of the flesh, without prayer it is impossible. We are being challenged to pray, because our life is not in order, we need to cry for the sins of the world.

We sometimes want trivial ways to overcome sin, we want magical and mystical ways to sanctify ourselves, there is no such thing!

Why don’t we have men of God today? Is it because of the theology? The problem is not in the exegesis of the expositors, the problem is not in the expository, historical, academic, Reformed or contemporary thematic sermon. The problem is that preachers don’t pray. There is no prayer life first!

Do you know why the world is poor and sick? Because we don’t know how to pray. 70% of the evangelism of the early Christians consisted of intercession and prayer. It is a battle, evangelism is the biggest fight a church can face, because hell will not let souls go easily!

Let us pray constantly like Hannah, that we will persist, importune the throne of grace, pray for your school, your home, your relationship, your work, your love, your brothers, your church, your leader, your president, your parents, pray for the world, pray again, pray the next year, keep on praying, pray until the souls, the four corners of the earth, the four winds, the rulers cannot stand it, and are converted.

“All the great soul-winners, were men of prayer. “

It is a call to the church to bend their knees and start fast, before it is too late! The one thing, that will keep us in victory continually, is our devotion to the son of God. It will be our worship and our daily tribute to Him.

We must pray, otherwise we perish.
