Most people fear death, but the great truth is that you can say no to it. The angel of death has become more and more active in recent years, and it has never claimed so many people as it has in these last decades. And the main cause of all this is sin!
How to Tell the Angel of Death that today is not my day to Die?
“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. “ (Romans 6:23)
If the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is life, then there is a possibility of escaping death by adhering to God’s free gift.
How to do This?
When Christ came to earth to preach what was his first sermon? 30 years of preparation and when he goes to preach he says… “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel. “ (Mark 1:15)
Christ calls us to repent of our sins and to believe the Holy Gospel, in this way we would be guaranteeing the annulment of death in sin. In this way, we would be saying clearly before the angel of death and to hell, not today, today I do not die, today I am born again, today I belong to Christ!
Why is it that today with the modern church, our standard, and concept of sin have fallen? Why do people in the church and even outside the church not see it in the way they should? Because man is an ingenious being who architects everything, intelligent with gifts and conscience. Why don’t they have the perception to turn away from sin? Today we have seen in the church and beyond, men creating their own law to absorb their sins.
How do they create this law?
They create this law to escape condemnation. When they create this law of their own, they hide behind it and they begin to judge for themselves and the sin that was to have great sorrow, a great effect on their life, becomes not so because they hide behind their law that says, “the sin is not so serious, God on the last day He forgives me. I am under that law that says, saved today, saved forever. “
Ezekiel 18:4 says, “Behold, all souls are mine: as the soul of the father is mine, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, that soul shall die! “
We are trivializing sin, that which is serious we are thinking is a normal thing and it is not. But Isaiah 59 says that behold, the hand of the LORD is not withered that he cannot save, nor his ears stopped that he cannot hear. But your iniquities make a separation between you and your God!
We need to welcome ourselves to the LORD, only then can we nullify eternal death, only then can we say death not today. God does not condone sin ever, and we are leaving room for sin to enter our lives, what sustains hell, what lights the flames of hell, the gasoline of hellfire, the pillars, and columns that keep hell standing are our sins.
“It is Sin that is giving Satan legality to act.”
Say no to death today by repenting of your sins and believing in the Holy Gospel.
“Repent, therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord. “ (Acts 3:19)
I rebuke and chasten as many as I love; be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hears my voice, and opens the door, I will come into him and will sup with him, and he with me. He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame, and sat down with My Father on His throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. (Revelation 3:19–22)
